MEMOIRS OF CHANGE - ONE OF OUR ONE

by HUGH WEIR

“This is a life thronged with personalities, beginning with his own mother who eloped by hiding in a horsebox”

wrote Mary Leland, in the Sunday Independent.

“Also of great interest is Weir’s recollections of  the Tipperary of his boyhood, now much changed”.

The Irish Farmers Journal.

“Before it became a growth industry, worth possibly millions to Irish tourism, Hugh advocated holidays pitched at U.S citizens coming to trace their roots”

Irish Examiner

“it is . . . , a helpful addition to its genre”

Robert O’Byrne, The Irish Times

Hugh Weir, born in 1934, experienced polio, war-torn Britain, an Irish farm-based upbringing and schools in Northern Ireland and Britain, military service (Far and Middle East), work in London, publishing, teaching and travel. Environmentally and historically involved, he was founder of the Young Environmentalists, an organisation before its time, and still writes extensively.
